CBEI identified commercial real estate brokers as a key stakeholder group, owing to their ability to better market the value of building energy efficiency. The commercial broker education project developed and promoted sustainability training so that brokers can help clients appreciate the value of sustainability and energy efficiency measures, thereby increasing the market adoption of these often-invisible features. CBEI did this by developing course material and a strategy for course adoption and delivery throughout the broker profession. The course was deployed in six markets throughout the U.S. as a continuing education option to fulfill brokers' professional requirements.
