The EEB Hub aims to achieve dramatic increases in energy efficiency in buildings by developing and demonstrating market proven integrated whole building solutions to achieve energy savings. The Hub demonstrates energy saving technologies and systems in buildings at the Navy yard and elsewhere in the region, measures results, and feeds those results back to continue to optimize whole building solutions.
To further advance this work, EEB Hub Integrated Solutions Showcases are being organized by the Wharton Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC). This first Showcase was held April 2, 2012 in the Immersive Construction (Icon) Lab at the Navy Yard. The goal of this Showcase was to provide technology and engineering insights from leading technology and engineering service providers to the Building 661 Integrated Design Team. The Integrated Design Team is responsible for design of the Building 661 advanced energy retrofit project at the Navy Yard, which when completed will be the permanent headquarters for the EEB Hub."
